Foundation for American Innovation and POPVOX Foundation Create Guide to Using AI in Your Congressional Office

Artificial intelligence is rapidly being adopted throughout the public and private sectors, and Congress is no exception. Hundreds of Hill staff are experimenting with integrating AI into their workflows, and being familiar with the chambers’ rules and restrictions on this emerging technology’s use is essential to boosting safe innovation.

To that end, the Foundation for American Innovation and POPVOX Foundation have joined forces to create a suite of tools that will bring staff up to speed on AI's application in congressional workflows. The first component of this series is a short guide to the risks and benefits of these new tools, and best practices for their smart and safe adoption.

Our organizations have been leading the effort for a more modern Congress, from assessing AI’s use in legislative workflows to developing a treasure trove of resources built for staff.
