  • For fourteen years, Nicole Tisdale has served as a national security expert at The White House - National Security Council (NSC) and the U.S. Congress's House Committee on Homeland Security. She is a policy expert on cybersecurity, intelligence, foreign malign influence campaigns, disinformation, and election security.

Recently, she led The White House’s national security advocacy efforts before Congress. She led the creation of the $1 billion dollar cybersecurity grant program in the bipartisan infrastructure law and passage of the cyber incident reporting law, the most significant cybersecurity laws passed in a decade. As a congressional staffer, Nicole actively created, managed, and assisted the homeland security committee with more than 96 congressional hearings and the passage of 354 bills through the House of Representatives, 80 of which became law. She also represented the U.S. on official delegations to more than 30 nations to discuss and negotiate a range of policy issues.

In 2019, she founded Advocacy Blueprints, LLC, where she works with individuals and organizations eager to accelerate policy issues and increase advocacy efforts to create changes in their communities. Nicole wrote and published a book, Right To Petition, to help others exercise their First Amendment right to advocate. Originally from Nettleton, MS, Nicole is a barred attorney and graduate of The University of Mississippi (BA, 2006; JD, 2009).

Before her time in Congress, she served in many bipartisan and nonpartisan policy and political fellowships and internships, including the Mississippi Innocence Project and and the Domestic Violence Clinic. As a former government and social studies substitute teacher and liberal arts collegiate tutor, Nicole continues to volunteer with advocacy and education groups. She is also a sneakerhead and a frustrated golfer.
