POPVOX Foundation Welcomes Mia Barratt
POPVOX Foundation is honored to welcome new intern Mia Barratt.
Mia is arising senior at Cornell University, where she studies Government. She has varied policy interests, including government accountability, consumer protections, and nuclear energy. Mia previously interned with Senator Charles Schumer [D, NY] in both Syracuse, New York and Washington, DC, as well as with the US Postal Service Office of Inspector General.

POPVOX Foundation is always looking for internship candidates passionate about making government work better. Ongoing and past POPVOX Foundation projects our interns have worked on include:
Launching the Internapalooza orientation and welcome event for Congressional interns
Developing resources for offices and constituents to navigate the return of Congressionally Directed Spending (aka “earmarks”) to prioritize transparency and citizen engagement
Launching the Casework Navigator program to support Congressional casework staff and move casework into the 21st century
Hosting an orientation for new Members of Congress focused on Tech, Science, and Data tools for effective legislating
Development of a “CivX” metrics toolkit for governments to measure the civic experience of constituent interactions
Participation as a founding member of the CapitolStrong and First Branch Intern Project civil society networks
