Parliamentary roundtable discussion, practical session, and launch of POPVOX Foundation’s Digital Parliaments Project
This Open Government Partnership Global Summit side event, hosted by POPVOX Foundation & ParlAmericas, will take place near the OGP Global Summit venue in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain (venue details TBA). Attendance is free, but registration is required as space is limited.
About the Event
Parliaments around the world are facing unprecedented challenges to keep pace with rapid technological change. Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how governments work, communicate, and engage with citizens — yet legislatures often lack the tools and frameworks to adapt.
The Digital Parliaments Project (DPP) is a new global initiative to equip parliaments with the data standards, tools, and training they need to thrive in the age of AI. Beginning with six Caribbean countries and expanding to Africa and beyond, the DPP is building a secure, multilingual, and collaborative platform that strengthens democratic institutions worldwide.
This side event will formally launch the project and bring together MPs from across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia to exchange perspectives on AI and openness in legislatures.
