Life in Congress

Building a modern, representative, and adaptive Legislative branch workforce

Introduction

POPVOX Foundation is helping to lead the conversation around building a modern, representative, and adaptive Legislative branch workforce. The 118th Congress saw a record number of women serving in the US House, while the membership of Congress overall is trending younger. Recent years have seen the establishment of caucuses and groups focused on working parents and supporting families. These changes throughout the Legislative branch are welcomed and reflective of the American landscape, which is seeing a record-high number of moms in the workforce. As demographics shift, so do the needs within Congress. Among these evolving priorities is the need for stronger security measures, ranging from better staff preparedness to expanded resources for Members and their offices.

POPVOX Foundation has created resources, supported reforms, and advocated for changes that will help to make the Legislative branch more responsive to and reflective of the American people. If you would like to learn more about this work, please contact us.
