A Morning of Gratitude for Hill Staff from POPVOX Foundation and CapitolStrong
Joined by therapy dog Teddy, the coalition provided more than one hundred staffers with coffee, treats, and morning positivity

On Wednesday, December 3, POPVOX Foundation and CapitolStrong hosted a special thank-you event for Congressional staff on Capitol Hill. The coalition brought coffee, donuts, and treats to the Hill to recognize the hard work done by Hill staff after another busy (and record-breaking) year in Congress. POPVOX Foundation and CapitolStrong hosted the event to recognize the dedication and resilience of the staff who keep Congress running, especially following the longest government shutdown in history and a very busy upcoming holiday season with lots on the to-do list. More than one hundred staffers attended to start their morning with coffee and connection.
The morning featured a special guest: therapy dog Teddy, who helped attendees start their day on a positive note with lots of snuggles and a calming presence. Teddy and his owner, Debbie, are volunteers with the Maryland chapter of Pet Partners, a nationwide organization that participates in millions of therapy animal visits annually.
In addition to POPVOX Foundation, the Congressional Management Foundation, CNCT, HillClimbers, and the Ashley Julyan Group were in attendance to provide support, helpful materials, and information to aid staff as they go about their day in Congress. From early mornings to late nights, through challenges and crises, Congressional staff show up and serve, and they deserve recognition and a “thank you!” for that commitment.
