Please join POPVOX Foundation and Civic Tech DC for an exciting lunch break of lightning demos, showcasing the future of possibilities for Congressional budget and appropriations data. Demos will include presentations by:

MakeGov — Dave Zvenyach, CEO of MakeGov and former Director of GSA's Technology Transformation Services, will demo recent work on converting appropriations committee reports into usable, structured datasets.

Civic Tech DC — Will Hea, CEO of Skeptical Labs, Matt Zamora, Director of MoCo Maker Labs, and Brandon Rugg, freelance data scientist, will show two open-source tools for making appropriations bills legible: structural diffing with dollar-amount extraction, and version tracking across a bill's legislative stages.

OpenOMB — Cerin Lindgrensavage, Counsel at Protect Democracy, will demo a searchable database that makes apportionments easier to find and track, and will review how to search and subscribe to agencies or accounts of interest.

BlazingStar Analytics — Joe Carlile, Founder of BlazingStar, spent two decades in federal budget execution and will demo a platform that connects the full chain from appropriation to apportionment to award.

POPVOX Inc. — Marci Harris, CEO of POPVOX Inc.; POPVOX Inc. has prototyped software infrastructure for legislatures since 2010 and will showcase a pair of “Explorers,” AI vibe-coded Congressional data tools that demystify Congressional data while inspiring staff with ideas of what they can build at home.
